logo copaxone

Copaxone® (glatiramer acetate) is an immunomodulator indicated for reducing the frequency of exacerbations in patients with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis.

Copaxone® was launched in the United States in 1997 and in Europe between 2000 and 2002. It is licensed by Teva to sanofi-aventis and commercialized through an alliance with Teva.

In 2004, in Europe, the two marketing partners launched the prefilled syringe, a new formulation that offers easier administration and improved patient comfort.

Over 90,000 patients around the world are treated with Copaxone®. The three leading markets for Copaxone® are the United States, Germany and Canada*.
